August 11, 2025 – A Mt. Juliet Police license plate reader alerted officers Saturday to a Ford Escape displaying a tag stolen from Williamson County the previous day. The alert came as the SUV exited the interstate onto Belinda Parkway.
Officers located the vehicle near Providence Trail, and when it pulled into Two Rivers Ford, they initiated a traffic stop. The driver fled on foot but was quickly apprehended after a short chase.
Police say the 54-year-old Nashville man was found with crack cocaine, driving on a revoked license, and wanted in three counties for multiple felony warrants.
- In Nashville, he faced eight charges involving shoplifting, mail theft, forgery, theft of property, and failure to appear.
- In Sumner County, he was wanted for 10 charges related to theft, mail theft, and criminal simulation.
- In Wilson County, he was wanted for shoplifting.
Authorities credited the arrest to the department’s Guardian Shield license plate reader system and the quick actions of responding officers.
