OBITUARY: Karen Elaine Brannon

Karen Elaine Brannon, 62 years of age, of Fairview, TN, passed away July 25, 2025, at Green Hills Rehab Center in Nashville, TN.

Karen was born January 10, 1963, in Nashville, TN, to the late Jerry and Dorothy (Crowder) Brannon. She was free-spirited, caring, hardworking, and very loving. She had a love for everyone, not ever meeting a stranger, always seeking to find the good in all.

She was very independent, always being considered the back bone of the family. She took care of her children, making sure they had what they needed as well as their wants. She was the true definition of a homemaker. She never turned anyone away, she was always known to have a house full of kids playing.

She enjoyed reading, coloring, watching movies, listening to music and hanging out with her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her partner, Jeff Stephenson; children, T.J. Smithson, Brandy Smithson, Sunnie Smithson, and Adam Reale (Macey Steele); step-daughter, Maria Brannon; grandchild, Avianna, followed by 15 other grandchildren; siblings, Teresa Brannon, Patty Brannon, Kathy Brannon, and Jerry Brannon, Jr.; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Cheryl Wakefield; brother, Timothy Brannon; and son-in-law, Jeff Colton.

Visitation and Funeral services will be at Dickson Funeral Home & Cremation Center on Saturday, August 2, 2025. Visitation will begin at 12:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. Funeral services will begin at 4:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Pastor Jason Mull will be officiating.
