The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) and the Nolensville Police Department are working together to address traffic concerns in the Nolensville area, with a particular focus on Sunset Road during peak school drop-off and pick-up times. Both agencies remain committed to maintaining the safety of all school zones.
Like many communities, the area is experiencing staffing challenges in filling critical roles such as crossing guards, positions essential for ensuring the safe arrival and departure of students each day.
Sheriff Jeff Hughes emphasized that the safety of children is a top priority. He noted that deputies and officers are coordinating efforts with local partners to ensure traffic safety near schools and encouraged members of the community to consider volunteering for these important roles.
Until the crossing guard position near Sunset Elementary is filled, deputies and officers from both agencies will continue monitoring traffic and addressing safety needs in the area.
