Turkey Day Travel Conditions May Be A Little Tricky

Holiday Header
With snow, freezing rain, sleet and colder than normal temperatures, travel across Tennessee and the country may be a bit turkey..oops tricky. On one of the busiest days of the year, “getting there” may be harder than “getting home.” National Weather Service models show snow and freezing rain through  Thanksgiving morning if you are traveling east. Those traveling to the south and southeast may encounter strong storms and flooding. If you go west, conditions seem more favorable.

For updated road conditions across the nation you can use the Department of Transportation’s 511 number, you can also follow TN511 or other states similarly through Twitter. For flight delays, we found this website we to be quite useful for a one stop spot for flight delays and info including individual flight info: http://www.flightstats.com/go/Airport/currentAirportDelays.do

We at Williamson Source will be monitoring local weather. We want to remind you to leave early, plan ahead, drive safely and buckle up!
