McCallie shocked Brentwood Academy with a 31-27 win over the Eagles, snapping BA’s 24-game winning streak.
McCallie (7-1, 3-1 in Division II AAA) scored the game’s first 13 points before Tomario Pleasant’s 3-yard touchdown run. The score remained 13-7 at half.
BA (7-1, 4-1) is off before closing its season against Montgomery Bell Academy, followed by a trip to Ensworth.
The Eagles’ last loss came in 2016 to MBA. BA went on to win the state title that season, as well as last.
