The No. 1 seed in the District 11-AAA girls basketball tournament will be decided by a coin flip as Brentwood and Dickson County finished with matching 11-1 records in district play.
On the line for the winner of the toss is a first-round bye while the loser will play host to No. 7 seed Independence.
The rest of the pairings for the Feb. 10 quarterfinal round, which will be hosted by the higher seed in each match up, has already been set. No. 3 Ravenwood will host No.6 Centennial and No. 4 Franklin will host No. 5 Summit.
On the boys side, there was a tie in the standings but no coin toss was needed. Because of a regular season sweep of Centennial, Franklin earned the No. 2 seed over Independence.
Brentwood gets the No. 1 spot and free spot in the semifinals while No. 2 Franklin gets No. 7 Dickson County, No. 3 Indy has No. 6 Centennial, and No. 4 Summit matches up against No. 5 Ravenwood. The boys quarterfinal round begins Feb. 11.
Division II-A is ahead of other divisions, already in their district final round. Franklin Road Academy advanced to this round thanks to a 66-35 win Friday over Hendersonville Christian. Battle Ground Academy got this far by beating Davidson Academy 67-56 in the semifinals and 76-36 over Zion Christian in the opening round.
They will face each other Saturday at University School of Nashville.
The FRA girls eliminated BGA Friday night in their semifinals 52-37. They go on to meet USN Saturday.
