Youth Leadership Brentwood Accepting Applications

Youth Leadership Brentwood is now accepting applications for the Class of 2015. High school sophomores and juniors who have demonstrated leadership skills and either live or attend a school within the Brentwood city limits are encouraged to apply.

The mission of Youth Leadership Brentwood (YLB) is to provide students a hands-on understanding of the community. This includes Brentwood’s business community, media, quality of life, history, and government. The program consists of a full day of programming each month for five months, beginning in October, 2014. Youth Leadership Brentwood is a program of the Williamson County Chamber Foundation, the non-profit arm of the Williamson County Chamber of Commerce.

“I wish every student could have the experience of attending Youth Leadership Brentwood,” said YLB graduate, Allie Miller. “I grew up in Brentwood, but didn’t get to know Brentwood until I attended YLB. The program taught me the history of the City and how it functions today and how local businesses operate. I built lifelong friendships with top notch students. It is an experience I will never forget,” she said. Allie chaired the Steering Board for the program last year.

Applications and program brochures may be obtained from high school guidance counselors, the Williamson County Chamber of Commerce and on the web at www.leadershipbrentwood.org
