So you’ve done some research and you’ve decided you really want to try Botox, but you want to know what to expect for your first treatment. Here’s some things you should know before you get your first treatment.

Treatment Experience

The treatment process is typically quick and simple with just a few injections of the Botox units to your treatment area. There is usually little to no recovery time, though it is suggested that you are sitting or standing for the next 3-4 hours.

Potential side effects

It’s completely normal to have some minimal pain, after all there was a needle injected into you. You may even have some redness, swelling, or bruising for a short time. It’s also quite common for treatments in one area to make other places appear more droopy. In rare cases, the Botox can spread too far and cause a droopy eyelid or other effects.

Like with anything medical, how long a Botox treatment lasts varies for everyone. For some, it lasts about two months, where others see results for as long as six months. For most, however, the average time of effectiveness is four months. If you have receive consistent Botox treatments though, it’s common to have longer lasting effects each time.

Uses
