You Gotta See This: Rent A Goat from Amazon

For eco-friendly yard work, forget your electric lawn mower. E-commerce giant Amazon.com now has a way to help consumers deal with back-breaking yard work without consuming any man-made energy, renting goats.

The “Hire a Goat Grazer” service is now available on Amazon.com under the Home Services section. To rent a goat, go on the webpage and choose the number of acres you wanted trimmed, the type of vegetation and terrain, and then a goat pro will consult with you on the number of goats to send your way.

Once the goats arrive there will be temp fencing set up on their grazing path and the goat herder will check on them occasionally as they eat away unwanted vegetation.

Since the service is only about a month old there aren’t too many cities set up with the service yet. Seattle, where Amazon is based, has the first goat-renting service, and Amazon is working on finding more goat owners to participate. Right now, there are none signed up around Williamson County or the greater Nashville area.
