CNN reports that ‘Jurassic World’ brought in an estimated $511.8 million around the world during its opening weekend, making it the highest-grossing global opening ever. In honor of the release of the newest Jurassic movie, we wanted to share this video of two extremely talented musicians performing the familiar Jurassic Park theme song, composed by John Williams.
When it comes to iconic action movies, the soundtrack is as important as the special effects. And for Jurassic Park fans, John Williams’ grand Jurassic Park theme song is a beloved instrumental that brings back memories of movie magic.
The ‘Jurassic World’ theme is an updated version of Williams’ original. It still contains the familiar (often haunting) melody that many recognize as the Jurassic theme.
The Piano Guys are: a marketing genius that does video, a studio engineer that writes music, a pianist that had a successful solo career, and a cellist that does pretty much everything. They describe their group as “a miraculous meeting of ‘guys’ with the same intrinsic purpose — to make a positive impact in the lives of people all over the world through music videos.”
Check back later this week for our review of ‘Jurassic World.’
