You Gotta See This: How Coca-Cola Affects Your Body Within 1 Hour

The Renegade Pharmacist, a website offering alternative and traditional remedies for modern ills, has posted a graphic displaying how your body reacts when you drink a Coca-Cola. The graphic and the information gathered by Niraj Naik, who wrote the article, is going viral.

According to the website, Naik wanted to know why those following a low fat diet would still gain weight.

In his research, he reports that he “discovered that a trigger factor for many widespread diseases of the west such as obesity, heart disease and diabetes could be closely linked to the consumption of one particular substance found in many processed foods and drinks – fructose in the form of high fructose corn syrup.”

Along with eating healthy foods, he advises people to “to reduce their consumption of high fructose corn syrup by eating lower carb/higher protein diets free from processed foods…in many cases I asked people to just stop their consumption of fizzy drinks like Coca Cola  and instead swap it with either plain water, or add some freshly squeezed lemon for flavor.”
