A new boutique dog care facility is coming to Franklin this fall as Yardstick Dog Hotel begins construction on its newest location.
The facility, located at 1128 Murfreesboro Pike, is expected to open in late fall 2026 and will be Yardstick’s fifth location in the Nashville area. It will also be the company’s first location built alongside an animal hospital through a partnership with Williamson County Animal Hospital.
Yardstick opened its first location in Berry Hill in 2022 and has since expanded to West Nashville, East Nashville and Brentwood. The company focuses on a smaller-scale approach to dog boarding and daycare, offering quiet suites, small-group play areas and 24/7 on-site supervision.
“We are thrilled to bring our differentiated concept to the Franklin community,” said Yardstick CEO Dave Atkins. “To do it alongside Williamson County Animal Hospital, who has been a mainstay for Franklin’s pet parents over the past 50 years, is particularly special.”
Dr. Forrest Reynolds of Williamson County Animal Hospital said the partnership will provide additional care options for local pet owners.
“We are confident that they are the ideal partner and will provide the care and services that our canine population and their families will greatly benefit from for years to come,” Reynolds said.
Yardstick currently operates two locations in Dallas, with another location planned to open this fall. The Franklin facility will expand the company’s presence while offering pet owners another option for boarding and daycare services.
