Wounded Warrior Project Rides Through Franklin

It was a gloomy day outside, Saturday, in Downtown Franklin. It was soon brightened by the arrival of the Wounded Warrior Project, which provides programs and services to severely injured service members during the time between active duty and transition to civilian life. Many enjoyed the warm, damp air  as they awaited the arrival down Main Street.  Boy Scout Troop 86 from Brentwood and Cub Scout Group 6 from Crockett Elementary were handing out flags and leading the cheers. Shouts of “THANK YOU” rang through downtown as the riders came through, ironically, many of those “Thank You”s came from the troops riding with the project. It was a very proud day, and it was hard to tell if it was the mist on the air or if eyes were actually misty as they rode through.
