WEATHER & ROAD CONDITIONS at 5:30 pm from NWS:
- Snow before midnight. Patchy freezing fog after midnight. Low around 23. North wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. Roads are wet, due to the rain and sleet that has fallen over the afternoon. With temperatures still above freezing, road conditions should not be too tricky; however, your commute home may be a little slow.
Behind Costco in Cool Springs - TEMA: (11:40 am)
The Tennesee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) has issued a state of emergency in Tennessee due to expected winter storm. It looks like the major problems will be to our south–“Emergency Managers in counties along Tennessee’s border with Alabama and Georgia, from Memphis to Chattanooga, are reporting wintry precipitation and icing conditions,” states TEMA website. - TRAVEL:
If you need to travel South or East,the suggestion is DON’T. Dangerous conditions are expected across the Southeast , especially from Atlanta to South Carolina. Most roads are in complete deadlock. Folks are advised not to travel.
