Winstead Hill has been described as a hidden gem among parks in Franklin. Located just south of downtown this 61 acre historic battle site is brimming with beauty. A three-quarter walking trail awaits as you meander through the historic landmarks and gaze out at the battlefield of old. The wooded area is great for those who want to trek off into the woods for some solitude.
Travel out Columbia Highway and visit this serene getaway. Enjoy a picnic or just spend some time on a blanket during lunch. You will not regret a trip to Winstead Hill; it might even become your new personal hideaway. Restrooms are available and the park closes at dark.
