Nature Fest, Fairview’s annual festival in the 700-acre Bowie Nature Park, will celebrate the honey bee with a workshop and information about the vital creatures.
The 32nd annual festival runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10, featuring music, living history, free kids games and crafts, hayrides, inflatables, shopping, food and lots of information and exhibits about bees and other aspects of nature.

2. Chukkers for Charity Polo Match

The 20th anniversary Chukkers for Charity is Sept. 10 at Riverview Farm.
The signature event returns for its “emerald anniversary” to raise funds for Rochelle Center and Saddle Up! This year’s home team features local favorite players Orrin Ingram, Stevie Orthwein, Alan Martinez and James Armstrong. The highly-anticipated match will host two teams, both from the Lexington Polo Cup, the highest rated tournament in the region. The Lexington Polo Cup is 14 goal level with 18 teams playing from around the country.
Gates open 1 p.m. for tailgaters, 2 p.m. for patrons. The opening ceremony will be held at 2:45 p.m. with the polo match beginning around 3 p.m.

3. Franklin Distiller’s Dinner

The Franklin Distiller’s Dinner will take place Sept 10 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Westhaven Residents Club.
The evening of specially prepared courses and paired cocktails will benefit The Realtor Good Works Foundation – an organization created by members of the Williamson County Association of Realtors to provide need- and merit-based scholarships to graduating seniors in the county.

5. Leadership Brentwood 9/11 Dedication

This Sunday, Sept. 11, the Leadership Brentwood Class of 2016 is hosting a dedication ceremony to recognize firefighters, police officers and members of the U.S. military.
