1. Fall Fun Day at Bowie Nature Park

WHAT: Fall Fun Day is a family event with hay rides, nature-themed carnival games where you can win candy and prizes, Fall Mini-Golf Frenzy, crafts, face-painting, a bounce house, pumpkin decorating and more. Dress up in your favorite costume as there will be a custome parade at 1pm for the kids.

Fall Fun Day is free however pumpkins for decorating are $2 and there will be food and drinks available for purchase.

2. Dog & Pony Show

WHAT: Thompson’s Station’s premier annual event “The Dog & Pony Show” returns to Thompson’s Station Park on Saturday, September 30, 2017. This free, all-day family festival includes live music, a kids zone of activities and games, dog arena, equine attractions, artisan and food vendors and more. All proceeds benefit the nonprofit Thompson’s Station Community Association (TSCA), which funds parks and community projects.

3. “The Winter’s Tale” –  Shakespeare in the Park

WHAT: The “tale” of The Winter’s Tale unfolds in scenes set 16 years apart. In the first part of the play, Leontes, king of Sicilia, plays host to his friend Polixenes, king of Bohemia.

4. Tamera Alexander Signs Christmas at Carnton

WHAT: Tamera will be signing early release copies of Christmas at Carnton—a Christmas story that will launch a brand new 3-book series, The Carnton Novels this weekend in the Visitors Center Gallery at Carnton in Franklin, Tennessee.

Why not plan a visit to Carnton that afternoon, tour the house and grounds, and then stop by and see Tamera in the Visitors Center where she’ll be signing books?

5. Taylor Hicks at Franklin Theatre

WHAT: American Idol winner and Platinum recording artist Taylor Hicks will bring his musical talents to the Franklin Theatre this Saturday, September 30 at 8 p. Tickets are available at the box office, online at franklintheatre.com, or by phone at 615-538-2076.

The show will act as a single release party for the powerhouse vocalist, whose newest single “Six Strings and Diamond Rings” comes out on Friday, September 29. The long-awaited single features an iconic collaboration with Grammy nominee Robert Randolph of ‘Robert Randolph and the Family Band’ and is the first from Hicks’ forthcoming album set to release in early 2018, which is being recorded in Nashville at Zac Brown’s iconic Southern Ground Studio.
