1. Fork Fest

WHAT: Bring your dancin’ shoes to Leiper’s Fork this weekend for this free outdoor concert, featuring Sam Bush and ScriptKiddie.

2. Puppy Kissing Booth

WHAT: Scout’s Pub, in Westhaven, will partner once again with the Williamson County Animal Center (WCAC) to bring a Puppy Kissing Booth to the Westhaven eatery’s patio this weekend.

For $1, Scout’s diners and passersby can pet, snuggle and play with pups who are currently available for adoption through the WCAC. Those who wish to adopt one of the furry friends should bring proof of address and cash or check to cover fees. In addition to donating the proceeds collected from the Puppy Kissing Booth, Scout’s Pub will offer its guests the opportunity to add $1 to their bills all day on Saturday to benefit the WCAC.

3. Free Hike Day

 

WHAT: Owl’s Hill hosts a free hike this weekend. Join one of their staff members or volunteers on a guided hike through Owl’s Hill. This is a great opportunity for families, individuals, and small groups to come enjoy the trails of Owl’s Hill and get some exercise. The hike will be approximately two to three miles with some moderate hill climbs included. Hikes will start at 1:00.

4. Ben Glover Headlines Music in the Grove

WHAT: A Brentwood end-of-summer tradition, Music in the Grove, returns for the third time this year, with a free concert and family festival at East Brentwood Presbyterian Church. Free parking is available onsite.

Families are invited to bring blankets or chairs and enjoy a variety of talented musicians and entertainers, as well as, family-friendly activities including a musical petting zoo by Sky Studios, a Family Fun Zone and food trucks.

5. Franklin Classic

WHAT: As one of the most popular races in Middle Tennessee, the Franklin Classic is a community-wide event that strives to raise financial support for Mercy Community Healthcare while promoting wellness and fitness for children, families, and the community. This year marks the 39th Anniversary of the prominent event.

Mercy Community Healthcare is a non-profit in Franklin, TN that offers primary healthcare to pediatrics and adults, integrated behavioral health, counseling, on-site pharmacy, family and patient support and much more.
