Each summer, Friends of Franklin Parks’ “Raise the Roofs” fundraiser has brought the community together to celebrate the return of horses to the historic Park at Harlinsdale Farm. Now patrons will get to enjoy the fruits of their labor: the Fifth Annual event, to be held on Saturday, August 20 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., will take place in the newly opened Tractor Supply Co. Arena. Patrons will get a chance to see some of the best grand prix jumpers in the country put on an incredible display of equine athleticism.

Miguel Ventura and Christoph Schroeder are two of the most decorated equine grand prix show jumpers in America today, competing internationally on warmblood horses to cross a series of jumps reaching more than six feet high. Get tickets here.

The Arcadia Wrestling Association is bring their pro wrestling show to Spring Hill this weekend. The show is family-friendly and children 5 and under get in for free. 4. Art Show & Sale at The Factory

The Factory at Franklin, 230 Franklin Road, Franklin, 37064
Harpeth River Watershed Association (HRWA), an organization committed to protecting rivers and clean water in Tennessee, and The Chestnut Group, an alliance of landscape artists, will host an art show and sale at The Factory at Franklin Friday and Saturday. Most of the works presented in the show were painted within the past year along the State Scenic Harpeth River. While some depict the river and its wildlife, others showcase the nearby countryside. Click here to learn more.

5. Bluebird on the Mountain

On one of the tallest hilltops in Nashville, the Bluebird on the Mountain concerts are scheduled around glorious sunsets on the portico of the Vanderbilt Dyer Observatory. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, food, and drink and relax on the Observatory’s front lawn to enjoy a fabulous evening of sunset, music, and stars. After the performance, when the stars begin to shine, the telescope is opened for visitors to cap their night with views of celestial wonders. Saturday night’s performers are Mark Irwin, Tommy Lee James, and Josh Osborne. Get tickets here.
