front street craft beer celebrationWesthaven Front Street Craft Brew Fest – The Westhaven community hosts the Front Street Craft Beer Celebration Saturday, August 13 from 4:30-9:00 p.m. Guests will have the opportunity to sample 30+ craft beers, with many of these brews coming from the best Southern craft and micro-breweries around. Tickets are $40 in advance and $50 at the door until sell-out. Tickets for the VIP area are $75 and include entry to an exclusive lounge with private taps and limited food from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and private port-a-potties. Kix-Brooks-Benifit-Williamson-CoHarvest Party at Arrington Vineyards – Arrington Vineyards is celebrating its annual Harvest Party on Saturday, August 13th starting at 11 am. Owner and country star, Kix Brooks, will perform live on the vineyard hillside starting at 6pm. Proceeds from this free event benefit Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. williamson county fairWilliamson County Fair – Williamson County’s favorite summertime tradition – the Williamson County Fair –  is underway with its 2016 theme, “Barnyard Mardi Gras,” featuring flourishes of the Big Easy in addition to a host of new attractions, special events and competitions. Now in its 12th year, the Fair has welcomed approximately 200,000 attendees, each August, to the grounds of the Williamson County Ag EXPO Park.

The Fair runs  through Aug 13th. Hours are: Mon-Thurs 6p-10p (midway closes at 11p), Friday 6p-10p (midway closes at midnight), Saturday 10a-10p (midway closes at midnight) and Sunday 12p-10p (midway closes at 11p).

impact guitaristImpact Festival, Spring Hill – The third annual Impact Festival on the grounds of Rippavilla in Spring Hill takes place August 13th at 1pm. This all day positive music event consists of local and national artists and activities for the entire family. A food tent is available for shade, and food vendors this year are Chick-Fil-A, Pappy’s Porch, and Country Churn Ice Cream. There are activities such as face painting, corn hole games, horse rides provided by Cowboy Church and a Kidszone with inflatables provided by Christ Children’s Academy. The Rippavilla mansion will be open for tours which is included with the ticket price of $5 for all activities.

The musical line up this year is outstanding. American Idol Riley Bria is back by popular demand. Local artists Katie Danielle, Carter Voss, and CrossTie are back as well. FIREKID, who is getting play on XM radio and Alt. Nation will be performing. The strong vocals of Austin Jones will be another act you won’t want to miss. Headlining acts this year will be Word recording artist Sarah Reeves, and the night will be capped off with an outstanding band, I Am They, whose latest project is with Provident Label Group. WAY-FM and K-LOVE radio stations will be present with fun activities and giveaways all day.

bootleggers-bash-2015Bootlegger’s Bash – The Battle of Franklin Trust hosts the sixth annual Bootlegger’s Bash on Saturday, Aug. 13 at 7 p.m. at Carnton Plantation. Guests will celebrate Williamson County’s unique history of bootlegging with a casual evening featuring local whiskey, a delicious southern supper and live entertainment. All proceeds from this ticketed event will be donated to the preservation of Carnton Plantation and The Carter House. Tickets must be purchased in advance online at Eventbrite or Battle of Franklin Trust website.Tickets are $50 per person or $90 per couple.
