1. Family Day at Harlinsdale Farm

WHAT: The Franklin Parks Department is hosting it’s annual Family Day at Harlinsdale Farm on November 2. This free, family friendly event will run from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and includes a petting zoo, inflatable zone, fall festival, face painting, hay rides, food trucks, horse demonstrations, crafts, pony rides, miniature train rides and more. Friends of Franklin Parks will also be hosting equine exhibitions in the Tractor Supply Co. Arena.

2. Legends of Leiper’s Car Show

WHAT: Head out to Leiper’s Fork to join Legends of Leiper’s, the first community car show. Come and enjoy the car, bike and truck show plus live music and food trucks in a family-friendly setting. Celebrity judge Mike Medford will be in attendance, and judging begins at 11 am.

3. Columbia First Friday

WHAT: Join in for the Columbia First Friday event. With all your favorite downtown shops and restaurants open late (till at least 8), live music, street performers, plus food trucks located at 510 N. Garden St, it’s the “can’t miss” event of the month. Grab the gang and head downtown for the town’s monthly block party. Meet you on the square!

4. Owl Day at Owl’s Hill

WHAT: A celebration of all things owl at Owl’s Hill Sanctuary! Meet our non-releasable program owls and enjoy entertaining and informative talks on each species. Hike through owl territory, make owl pins and decorations, dissect owl pellets. Interesting and fun for all ages!

5. Light the Night Songwriter Event with Charles Esten

WHAT:The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light The Night Walk funds treatments that are saving the lives of patients today. LLS is making cures happen by providing patient support services, advocating for lifesaving treatments and pioneering the most promising cancer research anywhere. You can join the Walk at Nissan Stadium, then following the event attend a songwriters night at Hutton Hotel with Charles Esten.
