1. Bump to Baby Franklin

WHAT: Bump to Baby Franklin is a Baby Fair for everyone: Expectant parents and new parents, men and women, couples, singles, friends, family, and, of course, bumps & babies. You can experience education, products, and services from 50+ vendors both locally and nationally known! There will be several keynote speakers throughout the day you won’t want to miss and giveaways.

2. Be an Engineer with Mr. Bond Science Guy’s Class 

Longview Recreation

WHAT: Be an engineer and learn how engineering is involved in everything we do! This club features hands-on learning that teaches kids to actually build bridges, create robots, and test out circuitry with DIY-style batteries!

The Science Guys Science Clubs are an excellent after-school activity for kids ages 6-12*

All of our programs in science education are interactive, hands-on, inquiry-based and FUN!

Our Science Clubs strengthen what students are already learning with hands-on science experiences that deepen their education fulfilling STEM or STEAM.

3. Geocaching Day at Owl’s Hill

 

WHAT: Get out and go geocaching at Owl’s Hill! Geocaches are hidden in containers that can be found using a GPS or smartphone. We have new sites set up that are ready to be found. This is also a fantastic way for new geocachers to get acquainted with the game.  Hike around in the woods and see what you can find!

4. Studio Tenn’s Always.. Patsy Cline

WHAT: Studio Tenn is continuing the classics this year with a fresh lineup to complete the 18/19 season. Kicking off 2019, Studio Tenn presents the compelling story of a friendship with Always… Patsy Cline, set to appear live on stage at The Factory in Franklin’s Jamison Theater, February 8-24.

Audiences can revel in a night of Cline’s most beloved hits such as “Anytime,” “Walkin’ After Midnight,” “She’s Got You,” “Sweet Dreams” and “Crazy,” from February 8 – 24 at the Jamison Theatre in the Factory at Franklin.

5. Switchfoot with Colony House

WHAT: SWITCHFOOT  will be stopping in Nashville at the Ryman on their North American leg of the Native Tongue Tour. Franklin-based band Colony House will be opening the concert along with Tyson Motsenbocker.

Switchfoot has a long career spanning 20 years and just released  Native Tongue which  is an inspired work of insight and passion from a band that continues to find strength in our differences and hope in what binds us. The 14-song project, recorded primarily at Melody League Studios in the band’s hometown of San Diego, Calif., includes a wide array of music from the hard-hitting anthemic title-track to more reflective songs such as “Prodigal Soul,” “Joy Invincible,” and  ”Voices.” The band interlace empathy and introspection, urging us to  ”use our lungs for love and not the shadows.” Native Tongue also features a moving collaboration with Kaela Sinclair on “The Hardest Art.”
