Williamson Weekend: 5 Happenings This Weekend

1. Williamson County CASA Egg Hunt

WHAT: Williamson County CASA and the CASA Council will host the inaugural EggStravaganza egg hunt on Saturday, April 13 at 10 a  at Carnton. 

The family-friendly event will include a helicopter-dropped egg hunt, which will allow children in separate age groups to search for eggs on the acreage adjacent to historic Carnton. More than 3,000 toy and candy-filled eggs will be dropped from a helicopter above the grounds. 

Families are invited to partake in activities pertaining to the historic site, food trucks, giveaways and face painting. Food trucks include the Tennessee Cobbler Company and MoeBetter.

Tickets are $10 per child and can be purchased online at www.williamsoncountycasa.org/events.

2. A Vintage Affair Main Event

WHAT: Friday, April 12 will be the main event at The Factory in Franklin on April 12th. Guests will gather outside Liberty Hall at The Blockhouse from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for A VIP Preview Party, featuring fine cigars and wine tastings from the featured vintner Patland Estate Vineyards. Catering & Events by Suzette will be serving up divine hors d’oeuvres, and signature cocktails will be shaken and stirred by Gray’s on Main. Tie that together with music provided by Thom Ellis, and the VIP Preview Party is a great way to kick off the evening. Tickets are $125 per person and include entry to Main Event.

3. Ryman Community Day

WHAT: Take a look inside a Nashville landmark often referred to as the “Mother Church” for free on Sunday. Ryman Community Day is coming to Nashville on Sunday, April 14. All Tennessee residents with a valid state ID will be granted a free Ryman tour from 10 a until 3 p. Come out, enjoy live music on the plaza, food and drink from Cafe Lula, and more.

4. City of Brentwood 50th Golden Gallop Parade

WHAT: The City of Brentwood turns 50! To celebrate, a parade will take place on Saturday, April 12th at 2 p.

More than 100 registered parade entrants will roll down the 1.5-mile parade route, which begins on Virginia Way near Tractor Supply Company, then head north on Ward Circle, west down the eastbound lanes of Maryland Way, south on Powell Place and back to Virginia Way. Brentwood Police will close all four lanes of traffic on Maryland Way from Ward Circle to Powell Place and other roads along the parade route will close to traffic at 1:45pm and reopen once the parade concludes.

5. An Evening with Rory Feek

WHAT: Rory Feek is hosting an evening of stories and songs at his concert hall located on his farm in Columbia. This first of the series takes place this weekend with tickets still remaining.
