Williamson Weekend: 5 Happenings This Weekend

1. Basket Weaving Class

 

WHAT:  Join Owl’s Hill Nature Sanctuary as they engage in the traditional craft of basket weaving with expert weaver Janet Lanier. Attendees will weave a “Catch All” basket. This class is great for beginners.  Also on Saturday, Owl’s Hill is offering a family Geocaching event. See the website for more info.

2. Franklin Farmer’s Market

WHAT: Franklin Farmers Market is held year-round in Franklin.  So, if you are starting your Whole 30 diet or just looking for some locally grown produce after a few weeks of indulgence, this is the place to start 2018. But there’s always Ellie’s Doughnuts if you need to cure your sugar craving.

WHEN: Saturday, Jan. 6, 9 am – noon

3. Unicorn Cake Making Class

WHAT: Join Sugar Drop for a basic buttercream piping class where you will learn all about piping with a star tip to create a fun unicorn cake. Guests will create, sculpt and paint the unicorn horn and ears out of fondant after a basic lesson. Visit the Sugar Drop website for more info.

4.  Westhaven

 

WHAT: Texas native Lance Kotara and Colorado belle LeAnna Kaufman are two songwriters that found each other in Nashville.  Their undeniable creative chemistry exploded, forming the duo, Lance and Lea. Join them for an evening of acoustic music. Purchase tickets here.
