Williamson Home to 9 of the Fastest Growing Franchises

Franchise Times recently published a list of the fastest growing franchises in the country.

The top spot went to Jersey Mike’s. Over the last few years, the franchise has increased 46 percent to 1,050 locations across the country, including five locations in Williamson County.

President of Jersey Mike’s Hoyt Jones told Franchise Times the key to their success is making sure the franchisee is set up to succeed.

“We try to do as much for the franchisees as possible. We’re deeply involved with the real estate piece, we’ve got six real estate VPs around the country, we’ve got a construction team, certified architects, certified contractors,” said Jones. “We try to take as much off the plate of the franchisee so that the only thing they have to worry about is running the store. Learn how to make the best sub, push speed of service, quality of service, talk to the customer.”

In second place, is the popular trampoline entertainment spot- Sky Zone, which opened in Franklin in 2015. Planet Fitness, which rose to popularity with their “No Gymtimidation” ad campaign is in the third spot. They recently opened a location in Franklin in Williamson Square.

Rounding out the top ten franchises is Marco’s Pizza, Nothing Bundt Cakes, FirstLight HomeCare, Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa, Dickey’s Barbeque Pit, and BurgerFi. Marco’s Pizza was founded in 1978, but the bulk of the company’s growth has taken place since 2013 where they saw 54 percent growth in stores and sales had increased 73 percent from 2013- 2015.

Williamson County has three Marco’s Pizza locations: Cool Springs, Franklin, and Spring Hill.

The only one listed in the top ten that doesn’t have a current location in Williamson County is Freddy’s Frozen Custard. Learn more about the smartest growing franchises here.
