Sign on to work for Williamson County Schools and get a signing bonus!

Williamson County Schools is now hiring for teaching positions at schools across the district. Those interested in working for WCS will have two upcoming opportunities to meet with administrators.

Meet and Greet – February 19

The first one will take place Tuesday, February 19 as Superintendent Dr. Mike Looney hosts a meet and greet in Franklin. This event will take place from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Williamson County Professional Development Center which is located at 1761 West Main Street.

Teachers who are hired for certain hard-to-fill positions will earn a $2,000 sign-on bonus plus an additional $1,500 “hard to fill” bonus. These positions include high school math, high school chemistry, physics, Spanish, special education, speech language pathologists and school psychologists.

Teachers hired for all other positions at this event will earn a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

Interested applicants must register beforehand. The deadline to register is Thursday, February, 14.

District-wide Career Fair – March 2

Williamson County Schools will also host its annual District-wide Career Fair for teachers Saturday, March 2, at Centennial High School.

Representatives from schools and departments will be there to answer questions and meet potential employees.

“All 48 of our school administrators will be in attendance,” said WCS Human Resources Recruiter David Harries. “Very seldom do you get to meet building administrators and discuss possible opportunities outside of an interview process.”

The career fair will run from 9 a.m. until noon. WCS is looking to fill teaching positions at various schools, including the new elementary school scheduled to open in the fall.

“We are encouraging candidates from all over the country to come visit,” Harries said. “This event allows them to visit WCS and learn what one of the best districts in the state of Tennessee has to offer.”

Attendees should dress professionally and bring their resumes. Contracts are offered the day of the event, and hiring bonuses are available for hard-to-fill positions.

A separate career fair will be held in the summer for non-teaching positions.
