Williamson County Real Estate Had Its Best Month Since 2005

If you are looking to sell your home, now is the right time to sell. Real estate numbers in Williamson County for the month of May saw the biggest increase since 2005. In May, there were 501 residential home sales representing a 20% increase from the  previous year. There has been tremendous  growth in Williamson County in 2015. We spoke to Patty Carter from Zeitlin Realty about why Williamson County has seen such growth this year.

Below you will see the information provided by Williamson Inc. that shows the latest median values for cities in Williamson County. Brentwood has the highest value at $685,000 with Franklin coming in second with a median value of $431,498 and Nolensville is right behind Franklin with a median price of $385,226. Homes are selling at a fast pace with only an average of 57 days on the  market.

However, even though this is a booming market, there are things to consider when putting your home on the market. Carter gave us some tips for buyers interested in selling their home.

1. It’s never been more important to have your home move in ready. Buyers are very selective and are willing to pay more for a home that requires little to no repair work.

2. Be prepared for the inspection. We have not seen a home that didn’t come back with some repairs needed from the inspection. Plan for those expenditures.

3. Price your property well. Consumers have access to the selling prices in your neighborhood, so don’t think with a hot market, you can overprice your home. Even in a hot market, if your home is priced incorrectly, it will not sell.
