Friends of Bowie Park
The mission of the Friends of Bowie Nature Park is to preserve, protect, promote and enhance Bowie Nature Park for use by the public as a nature reserve and park.
This year we are soliciting funds to work on the four-mile long Perimeter Trail which has some serious erosion problems. Most of the trails were originally fire roads created to protect the tree farm and surrounding lands.

Our mission is to promote and support quality of life for all animals and the humans who care about them by ensuring a compassionate environment and humane treatment for the animals of Williamson County. Our mission focuses on three general areas: 1) to provide support to Williamson County Animal Center; 2) to increase community awareness regarding animal welfare; and 3) to support/initiate legislation and policies that provide compassionate treatment of animals.

The Harpeth River Watershed Association (HRWA) is a science-based, conservation organization dedicated to the restoration and protection the State Scenic Harpeth River and clean water in Tennessee. Today, the Harpeth’s water quality, fish, wildlife and recreation values are threatened by sewage pollution and excessive water withdrawals. To effect change, HRWA collaborates with landowners, businesses, local, state and federal decision makers, and others. HRWA helps put solutions in place to reduce pollution, implement restorations, and maintain healthy areas so that the Harpeth River and its tributaries can progress towards water quality standards set for people and wildlife.
