Williamson County Kids Rock the ING KiDS ROCK Marathon!

What a difference a day makes!  The ING KiDS ROCK marathon was held at LP field on Sunday afternoon. And the weather was dramatically different from yesterday’s downpour, being mild and partly cloudy, making for the perfect race weather.

This year marks the first year of the ING kids marathon to be held on Sunday rather than the typical Friday evening before the race. As the over 7,000 kids waited for their grade to race they could enjoy some pre-race entertainment and games.

ING KiDS ROCK is a non-timed, non-competitive event for children in grades K – 7th. Students can become marathon finishers on race day by completing a cumulative marathon training program in the weeks leading up to the race. Students can complete the 25.2 miles with a group or on their own prior to race day when they will ROCK it with the Nashville community.
