Williamson County Back in the Puppy Bowl

For the third year in a row, puppies from the Williamson County Animal Center will play in Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl. This makes Puppy Bowl XIII.

On Monday night the Williamson County Commission accepted a $3,000 donation from MARS Petcare to cover the costs of traveling to New York City to film the event.

The Puppy Bowl, which plays on Animal Planet on the day of the Super Bowl each year, will air on Feb. 5, 2017 at 2 p.m.

Last year, three puppies from the WCAC played on #Team-Ruff during Puppy Bowl XII – Otis, Harper and Raphael.

The annual Puppy Bowl event draws more than 10 million viewers each year.

Williamson County Animal Center is located at 106 Claude Yates Dr. next to Franklin High School. Reach the center by calling (615) 790-5590.

Adoptable animals can be viewed at www.adoptwcac.org or at the center from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, or 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
