Avure’s relocation across the country from Seattle to Cool Springs made national news last year. Their technology allows their customers to process products using extreme pressure. They design, make and service everything they produce for industries such as aerospace, energy companies and orthopedic implant manufacturers.
The company booked a record number of contracts in 2011 and they intend to set up local assembly operations for selling machines to more end market users. Their high pressure processing (HPP) provides longer lasting preservation of food stuffs like deli meat and salsa without the use of chemical preservatives. The process kills E. coli, and most other disease organisms.
The Franklin office is the headquarters for their HPP food division, and double digit growth is expected in their industry despite the financial issues abroad that impact their products. The company is working on new technologies and absolutely loves their choice of relocation.
