The Williamson County Animal Control and Adoption Center has a house full of adorable, adoptable black kittens, cats, dogs and puppies that need homes! On Friday, November 29 and Saturday, November 30, the shelter will have a Black Friday and Saturday adoption event featuring these little bundles of joy.
The adoption rate for all cats and dogs is currently reduced to $20.
Shelter directors, Laura Chavarria, announced that the event will focus on black animals, which are often overlooked.
“Black cats and dogs,” said Chavarria, “deserve the same wonderful life that other animals do. But, for some reason, they are often the last ones adopted. We want to showcase them on ‘Black Friday’ as the special individuals they are.”
Chavarria added that the shelter will serve free refreshments during the Black Friday and Saturday event.
All pets adopted from Williamson County Animal Control & Adoption Center are spayed or neutered, and have required immunizations.
The shelter headquarters (106 Claude Yates Drive) in Franklin is open for adoptions Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Adoptable animals can be viewed at www.adoptwcac.org.
