In case you missed it, there was a viral story being shared over the weekend that the next Star Wars will be filmed in Franklin.

The Clancy Report shared on their website the following:

FRANKLIN, Tennessee – Numerous news outlets are reporting that a portion of the next Star Wars movie will be filmed just outside of Franklin, Tennessee. The location in Tennessee will represent a previously unknown planet in the Star Wars universe.

Writer and director Rian Johnson is said to have personally chosen the location and will need the help of a large number of extras from Franklin and the surrounding area. Reports claim that a big reason in choosing to film in Tennessee is that the state has recently been providing significant incentives to production companies that choose to film in their state.

No other details have been provided so far except that filming is set to begin sometime next year.

While the prospects of the next Star Wars movie being filmed in Tennessee is exciting, before you share this story, keep reading. Clancy Report says they are a fantasy news website. All news articles on clancyreport.com are satire or pure fantasy.
