Last year, Predators fans were surprised when some musical greats sang the national anthem before the playoff games.
For game one of the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs, there was speculation that Carrie Underwood (who kicked off last year’s playoff games) would return to sing the Anthem and some even thought “Smashville Mayor” Vince Gill would sing on his birthday which so happened to be Thursday. But it was Rascal Flatts who took the honor of performing the National Anthem just before game 1 on Thursday night.
Just before they performed, Rascal Flatts posted this message on their Instagram page. Listen closely as Jay DeMarco says, “Titan Up” and then goes on to say, “Oh wait, wrong sport.”
Watch Rascal Flatts perform the anthem in the video below.
With the ACM Awards show taking place this weekend in Las Vegas, it seems most country music artists are not in Nashvegas although we are still holding out for Dolly.
There are others who could sing the anthem like Jack White, Kings of Leon, and Justin Timberlake.
We are putting it to a vote. Who do you think will sing the National Anthem at Saturday’s game?
