The Nashville Predators are back in the Stanley Cup playoffs where they will take on the Colorado Avalanche in Round 1. They begin Round 1 at home Thursday (April 12) and Saturday (April 14). Last year Predators fans were surprised by the lineup of country music artists who sang the National Anthem before each game.

Carrie Underwood, wife of Predators Captain, Mike Fisher, started the season last year as the first anthem singer. Dressed in her husband’s jersey, Underwood sang a flawless rendition of the National Anthem. Watch the video below.

In addition to Underwood, Dierks Bentley, Vince Gill, Luke Bryan and Keith Urban, just to name a few sang the National Anthem during last year’s playoffs.

Underwood had said to expect big surprises for this year’s playoff games.

“Last year, I was so proud to be the Captain’s wife and loved being able to contribute to the excitement of the playoffs by coming out to perform the anthem at the first game,” Underwood reported Taste of Country. “I had so much fun and wanted to continue to support the team by asking a few of my friends to get in on the action. Like all of the Preds fans, I’m thrilled that Mike is back on the ice and I love that we are able to bring the music and hockey worlds together this way.”

Predators President and CEO Sean Henry also said what they have planned has never been done before.

We are putting it to a vote. Who do you think will sing the National Anthem at Thursday’s game?
