Opening Soon: Whites Mercantile, Olive and Sinclair, Herban Market & Buttermilk Sky Pie

Herban Market

We’ve got some great retail updates that will certainly put you in the holiday spirit and ready to shop.

White Mercantile

Lulu’s in downtown Franklin has closed but we’ve got good news. Since Lulu’s has vacated the building, sources have told us there will be a new store com in soon—one that currently calls 12 South home-Whites Mercantile. Owned by singer/songwriter, Holly Williams, we couldn’t be more excited to have her storefront on Main Street! Williams describes her store as a “general store for the modern day taste tester” with hand curated items selected by Williams herself.

Olive and Sinclair

Olive and Sinclair– Yes, we told you back in September that our local chocolatier was coming to Main Street. Olive and Sinclair plans to be open for Small Business Saturday which takes place the Saturday after Thanksgiving. (not pictured)

Herban Market

Nestled in between Mack & Kate’s and Sopapilla’s is the new Herban Market. A place to buy from local farmers but on your schedule not dictated by a Farmers Market schedule or if you run out of your favorite item during the week, Herban Market who recently opened over the weekend  has just want you need. Owned by husband and wife team,Matt and Ashlea Hogancamp, their mission is to bring people organic, high quality local food. With offerings of local produce, meat, supplements, and an extensive line of olive oils and balsamic vinegars from Veronica Foods. Currently they offer smoothies and muffins but plan to offer more take out food in the future. In addition to food, they offer yoga classes at the store. As parents, they were looking to offer a place to shop where parents can buy food for their family that weren’t overly processed and were void of corn syrup and soy. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 7am-7pm, Saturday 9am-6pm.

Buttermilk Sky PIe

What is a holiday in the South without a pie?  We were visiting the Silver Steer holiday party and met their new neighbor Buttermilk Sky Pie company. Although started in Knoxville,Buttermilk Sky Pie is expanding to Franklin. So, when you really want to bring that homemade item to your next event but have no time, this will do the trick. With flavors like Granny’s Apple, Southern Buttermilk, Chocolate Meringue, Nanny’s Pecan—it oozes Southern appeal and taste pretty good as well.  And I bet they will even put it in your own pie plate for you.  We promise we won’t tell anyone! We don’t have an exact date but keep checking back for opening details.
