As Super Bowl Sunday approaches, you may be either preparing to host friends for a party or attend one yourself. As you get ready for the biggest football game of the year (and the commercials), you may be wondering what to serve or take to a party.
The most popular Super Bowl food is up for debate, but many foodie sources claim pizza and chicken wings vie for the number one spot.
Pizza
The dailymeal.com says Super Bowl Sunday is the busiest pizza takeout day of the year. According to RetailMeNot.com, Americans bought 12.5 million pizzas on Super Bowl Sunday last year, with an average order value of $26.45 and stasticbrain.com says pizza deliveries rise 35% on Super Bowl Sunday.
Ben Petsch, the owner of three Jet’s Pizza locations in Franklin, says he expects around 750 pizza orders on Super Bowl Sunday alone, with the most popular order being their deep dish style pizza.

Chicken Wings

Americans are projected to eat 80 million more wings this year than they did in 2015.
Beer
