Battle Ground Academy stayed unbeaten, picking up its first region of the year with a 49-7 shellacking of Goodpasture.

Quarterback Drew Martin was fantastic on a wet evening that held passing numbers down across the mid-state. The senior was 17-of-29 for 280 yards and two touchdowns, and he ran for 125 yards and two more scores.

Senior receivers Ollie Reese (five receptions, 135 yards, two touchdowns) and Kel Hawkins (two for 76, one score) were big for the Wildcats.

Kaleb Seay contributed 37 yards and a rushing touchdown, and Conner Mitchell led the defense with 9 1/2 stops.

Martin scored on a 40-yard run with 8:38 in the second quarter for an 18-7 advantage. He got those 125 yards on just six carries.

BGA (3-0) travels to Boyd Buchanan next week.
