Tennessee Sheriff’s Association Scholarships Presented

Williamson County Sheriff Jeff Long recently presented $500 academic scholarships awarded by the Tennessee Sheriffs’ Association to three students. Smyrna High School graduate Avery Couey is a student at MTSU where he’s studying political science, Spanish and business administration. Avery is the son of WCSO Detective Jonathan Couey.

William Waylon Davis is a graduate of Independence High School. He will be attending Columbia State Community College to study Communications with a focus on film and production. Waylon is the son of Jennifer Davis, Fiscal Administration Director for the WCSO.

Each year the Tennessee Sheriffs’ Association accepts applications and awards scholarships to sons and daughters of full time sheriff’s office employees from across Tennessee.
