Williamson County Sheriff Jeff Long recently presented $500 academic scholarships awarded by the Tennessee Sheriffs’ Association to two students. Aubrey Louise Frantz is a sophomore at Christian Brothers University in Memphis and plays golf at CBU on a golf scholarship. She is the daughter of Sergeant Jack Frantz, the SRO assigned to Grassland Elementary.

Angel Burns is a sophomore at Columbia State Community College where she’s studying early childhood education. She is the daughter of Corporal Joe Burns who is assigned to Criminal Warrants in the Court Services Division.

Each year the Tennessee Sheriffs’ Association accepts applications and awards scholarships to sons and daughters of full time sheriff’s office employees from across Tennessee.
