The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office will be working to make the roads safe for those who are traveling in the county during the Labor Day weekend. Extra deputies will be on patrol looking for impaired drivers and others who are violating traffic laws. The saturation will continue throughout the holiday weekend.

The WCSO has also scheduled sobriety roadside checkpoints:

Fri. August 23, 2019 7p.m. – 9 p.m. Highway 431 @ I840

Fri. August 30, 2019 9 p.m. – 11 p.m. Highway 96 East @ North Chapel

(Labor Day Weekend)

Tues. September 3, 2019 8 p.m. – 10 p.m. Highway 96 East @ I840

Tues. September 17, 2019 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Goose Creek Bypass west of Lewisburg Pike

Sat. September 21, 2019 11 p.m. – 1 a.m. Caruthers Parkway north of Cool Springs

The WCSO wants you to have a safe and happy Labor Day holiday weekend; they are urging everyone to drive responsibly. If you are out celebrating with alcohol, use a designated driver. The WCSO also encourages patience when you drive because there will be more traffic during the holiday period and people will be in a rush to get to their destinations. And, when you drive or ride, always use your seatbelt even if you are traveling a short distance.

These traffic enforcement efforts are paid for with grant money from the Tennessee Highway Safety Office.

State law requires these times and locations be released to the public.
