WCSO Plans Checkpoints and More Deputies for Holiday

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office will be working to make the roads safe for those who are traveling in the county during the Labor Day weekend. Extra deputies will be on patrol looking for impaired drivers and others who are violating traffic laws. The saturation will continue throughout the holiday weekend.

The WCSO has also scheduled sobriety roadside checkpoints:

  • Friday, August 29, 2014: 7 pm – 9 am at Goose Creek ByPass
  • Friday, August 29, 2014: 10 pm – midnight at US Highway 31 South

More checkpoints are scheduled for the following two weekends in September:

  • Friday, September 5, 2014: 8 pm – 10 pm at Wilson Pike
  • Saturday, September 6, 2014  10 pm – midnight at Highway 100
  • Friday, September 12, 2014      8 pm –  10 pm at US Highway 431
  • Saturday, September 13, 2014  11 pm – 1 am at Carothers Parkway
