WCSO Partners with State to Fight Scams, Fraud, and Identity Theft

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) and the Tennessee Division of Consumer Affairs are partners in a new effort to fight scams, fraud and identity theft. Sheriff Jeff Long and Consumer Affairs Director Gary Cordell met recently to make plans to get the word out to consumers on what to do to protect themselves.

The WCSO will make booklets available and answer questions at community events. Additional information on scams and identity theft can be found on the website www.tn.gov/consumer. Consumer complaints can also be filed at that website. If you do become a victim of these crimes, call the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office at 790-5560.
