Online courses will be offered in four subject areas for Williamson County high school students next year.

As part of the School Board’s Strategic Plan to explore a variety of learning opportunities, the district will offer 17 courses during the 2018-19 school year with 16 at the standard level and one Advanced Placement course.

“I’m excited to see our plan coming together,” said Superintendent Dr. Mike Looney. “We have been planning and working to offer these courses for more than a year.”

The following online courses will be taught by WCS educators:

  • English I, II, III and IV
  • Algebra I, geometry, Algebra II, AP Computer Science A
  • Physical science, biology, chemistry, physics
  • US History, economics, government, world history/geography, personal finance

Dr. Looney will take the proposal for online classes to the School Board next month.

High school students will have the choice of online courses available as they register for next year’s classes. Each high school will share additional information with their families.
