Five more Williamson County Schools students have aced the ACT college-readiness exam.
Brentwood High’s Garrett Markham, Areeb Mohammed and Yi Qu all earned perfect ACT composite scores. Garrett and Areeb are both members of Model UN, and Yi is involved in the Science Olympiad among other activities.
“All of these students are all-around outstanding,” said BHS Assistant Principal Dr. John Calton. “They are very involved in extracurricular activities, and they are well-liked and respected by their peers and teachers.”
Franklin High’s Grace Owen also earned a perfect 36 on her ACT exam. Grace balances her classwork with her commitment to the Franklin Band.
“Grace is a wonderfully well-rounded, witty and engaged student,” said FHS history teacher Ray Scheetz. “She is always thoughtful in her decision-making, and she contributes to her classes in a way that enriches everyone’s experience. Grace is an excellent student, and we are proud of her accomplishments here at Franklin High.”
Ravenwood High’s Ankush Dhar earned a perfect composite while juggling seven difficult classes and involvement in the band.
“Ankush is one of the best pure thinkers I have had in AP Calculus BC,” RHS math teacher Peter Lowen said. “He can conceptualize abstract calculus concepts easily and do difficult problems in his head. He has a superb natural ability in mathematics.”
