WCS Students Attend Annual Youth in Government Conference

From WCS inFocus

WCS students got an inside look at the state government system as they participated in the annual YMCA Youth in Government Conference on April 12-15.

The Tennessee YMCA Youth in Government Program is an annual conference designed to let middle and high school students experience what it’s like working in the state government.

The two main awards given during the conference are for Outstanding Statesperson and Outstanding Bill, and WCS students brought home several of these honors. In addition, Centennial High’s Emily Lovgren and Page High’s Chuka Onuh were elected to represent Middle Tennessee at the Conference of National Affairs.
