From WCS inFocus

Registration will begin soon for students who want to take classes through the WCS Online Learning Program (OLP) during the 2019-20 school year.

The OLP offers online classes to students in ninth through twelfth grades who are enrolled in one of the district’s high schools. These courses are taught in a hybrid format, with most of the work being online and two required in-person meetings each month.

Pending Board approval, six new courses will be offered next year in addition to those that were offered this year. Each class is taught by a Williamson County Schools teacher. A student can choose to take an online course instead of taking that same course at the brick-and-mortar school where he/she is zoned, or a student can take the courses in addition to what he/she is taking at his/her brick-and-mortar school.

As rising high school students register for classes next year, they will be given the option to register for the classes offered through the OLP.

Students and parents who are interested in learning more about our OLP can read a list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website. For additional information, students should see their school counselor or contact Allison Fischer, the program’s administrator, at [email protected] or 615-472-5298.
