A professional golf tournament that will be played right here in Williamson County could mean big bucks for local high schools.

The Nashville Golf Open is one of 25 professional golf tournaments on the Web.com TOUR, and it will be held June 13-19 at the Nashville Golf & Athletic Club in Brentwood. According to Tour Vision Promotions President and CEO Patrick Nichol, proceeds from the event’s online ticket sales will be used to benefit WCS high schools.

“We are very excited to partner with the Williamson County high schools on our Golf Gives Back Program,” said Nichol. “One of our missions as a web.com TOUR event, and part of the PGA TOUR,  is to give back to the community in which we are playing. Our hope is that all of the high schools are able to raise a significant amount of revenue through the ticket program.”

Nichol says that fans have the opportunity to purchase daily and weekly passes with 100 percent of the purchase price designated to the high school of their choice. “They will also get to see the future stars of the PGA TOUR play at Nashville Golf and Athletic Club,” said Nichol.
