WCS First Day in the Books (Back to School & More Series – 2)

The first day of school is in the books and Williamson County Schools has preserved a glimpse of it with a video slideshow. Take a look and tell us if you or your family was captured on the first day back. More than 33,000 children returned to classrooms on Friday.

“Thank you to all of our teachers, administrators, parents, students and staff for making this first day of school a success,” said Superintendent Dr. Mike Looney. “I am looking forward to a school year filled with excellence in academics, the arts and athletics.” All of the shared photos from the first day were compiled into the photo album linked above for you to enjoy.

Look for a new communications feature in the WCS this year as the WCS Week in Review debuts. The WCS Week in Review will feature video clips from events across the district and will be posted each Monday on Facebook and Twitter. The Monday, August 12 edition will contain a collection of clips from the first day of school as well as many of the Back to School events, said the latest issue of InFocus.

InFocus, Facebook and the main website are excellent ways to stay informed about the WCS system. Join all the discussion today.
