Williamson County Schools continues to lead the State in Advanced Placement (AP) exam participation.

According to The College Board, 5,378 WCS students participated in at least one AP exam last school year which is more than any other district in Tennessee. It’s also more than a seven percent increase from the previous year.

“Increasing access to Advanced Placement courses supports our strategic planning goal to increase post-secondary opportunities for students,” said Superintendent Dr. Mike Looney. “We have more students passing more AP exams than ever before, which opens doors to college credits and potential scholarships.”

In Williamson County Schools, the most popular AP exams were Human Geography, US History and English Language and Composition.
